Website care plans explained: hosting, updates and what happens after launch
What a website care plan covers, what it doesn’t, what “Change Hours” are, and how to tell whether you need one.
A website isn’t finished when it launches. It needs somewhere to live (hosting), a secure padlock (SSL), its domain renewed every year, backups, security updates, and someone to change prices, photos and opening hours as your business changes. A care plan bundles all of that into one yearly fee.
Our plans
| Plan | Per year | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | $120₦160,080 | Managed hosting, SSL, domain renewal, weekly backups and workmanship warranty |
| Growth | $300₦400,200 | Everything in Essential, plus monthly maintenance updates and 2 Change Hours per month |
| Pro | $600₦800,400 | Everything in Growth, plus priority support, analytics reporting and 6 Change Hours per month |

What a care plan covers
- Hosting and SSL so the site stays online, fast and shows the padlock.
- Domain renewal, so you never lose your name because a card expired.
- Backups you can restore if something goes wrong.
- Security and software updates.
- Change Hours on Growth and Pro: a monthly allowance of studio time for updates to work we’ve already built, such as new prices, photos, menu items and small layout tweaks.
- A workmanship warranty: if something we built stops working as agreed, we fix it free.
What it doesn’t cover
Brand-new features or pages are quoted separately before any work starts. Change Hours renew monthly and don’t roll over, so they’re for keeping things current rather than building something new.
Do you need one?
You probably do if:
- You don’t have someone technical in-house.
- Your prices, stock, menu or staff change during the year.
- Your website brings in customers and a day offline costs you money.
You might not if you have your own developer and hosting, or your site never changes. In that case make sure you hold the domain, hosting and backups, and set reminders for renewals.
Renewals without surprises
Our plans renew yearly. You get the renewal invoice 30 days before, reminders at 30 and 14 days, and you can choose not to renew up to 30 days before the date. Everything is visible on your project page.
